THE BOWBAR COATING PROCESS
Our unique, multi-check quality process allows BOWBAR to deliver the highest quality concrete coating systems, 100% of the time. At each pivotal stage of the project, we check our work against industry proven concrete coating quality standards to make sure your coating system is built to last. We'll keep you informed along the way with updates as your project passes each quality inspection, so the entire project from start to finish is worry-free.
Step 1: Surface Preparation
Thorough surface preparation is critical and one of the key elements to a flawless concrete coating. At BOWBAR Epoxy, we take the time to make sure it's done right the first time. We won't start applying our concrete coating system until we've done all the work to make sure your floor has passed our Quality Surface Preparation Inspection, which includes the following quality standards:

Concrete is PH tested and has a PH within 6.5-9.9 for optimal adhesion
Surface is fully cleaned, free of any loose dirt and debris
Concrete diamond grinding is complete, exposing the pores or the concrete surface
All large cracks have been prepped, creating a valley in the surface to be filled with concrete repair resin
All chips and/or cracks are filled with Slab Flex, a commercial grade two-part patching compound.
Entire surface is evenly coated with a moisture and vapor barrier primer, no untreated areas exist​
